No problem with mine, would have been better if they had actually done all that needed doing, rather than having to have a second one later this year.
If you had C5 C6 done, where did the 2nd disc come from ?

    Neil.

    Hi Neil.

pins and needles when i look down, feels like a shower running down my whole body from the neck down, then if i push to place my chin on my chest it gets worse, etc.

legs feel weak as if i have just about got to the top of a big steep hill.

Bob, get yourself to the docs, pronto!

I know you're supposed to be working tomorrow, but you're no good to them crippled!

Do you have a contact for the surgeon/surgeons team who did the op?

Let me know if you need any help mate!

I had L4 L5 done over 20 years ago no problems since and I was playing rugby 18 months after the op.

One day I want to be as wonderful as my dogs think i am .....

NEXT FRIDAY!!! that's an outrage when spinal surgery has been involved. I'd be in AE making a case to be seen same day.

just my two pennies worth,,,because you pay yours in NIC's to fund the NHS!!!

Wouldn't worry about that Bob, they probably say that to everyone.

If they thought it might be anything serious they'd have had you in today!

When you called the Surgeon did you speak to him/her or their Secretary ?

I would ring your local GP Surgery and ask to speak to the GP who is on weekend call out. Tell him your symptoms ... particularly if you are dizzy with weak legs and feel like you might fall ... a fall so soon from a post operative procedure on your spine could be dangerous and what you have is a very serious condition. He should come out to assess you and your medication and can admit you as an urgent patient if need be.

Any issues send me a PM and I will try and help. I am not a Doctor but I am a Solicitor ... sometimes this helps focus their priorities on diarising appointments ... next Friday is ridiculous IMO when your condition has clearly got risks of having a fall just after having a rod put in your back !!

Editted to add ... I am not trying to get work here ... I actually am a Commercial Lawyer not a Medical Negligence Specialist ... but have offered to help because this is a pretty serious situation in my view ... you naturally must be a bit concerned to have posted here and I don't blame you ... I have just realised though that the Op was back in March. Have your symptoms just come on ? If not have'nt they had you back to check on you since then ?
