    Hmm Wild Goats

One of our local farmers has suddenly started buying up all the goats at the market,

on questioning him he admits fattening them up, sending them to the wilds of scotland for release,

the estate are seeding goats onto certain areas as the Yanks will pay big money to shoot wild goats

and in doing so deliberately break the law in order to court the possibility of a US client looking to shoot a stinky goat?!
    really?

Money talks. it's this greed which has spread CWD into Missouri. A big Buck was imported from a known CWD state and area for just such a "trophy" hunter to come and shoot. Now the whole Missouri Whitetail population is at risk.

Find this a little hard to believe firstly it would be illegal, secondly there are already places with wild goats if you want to stalk them, thirdly while all the wild goats in UK are descended from domestic stock and are not truly wild feral would be a better description, they have been living wild for hundreds of years and have degenerated to the wild side, they bare little resemblance to a domestic goat and its highly unlikely you could pass a domestic goat off as its wild cousin.

Think its much more likely that said goats are going to a slaughter house to full fill the Asian market.

if they are released within a fenced area it's fine, canned style as some hunters like it

Im sure we have all dealt with farmers over the years, legalities come well down the order of things,
this one seems to have found a way of converting a 30 goat into a 500 one,

and yes its canned hunting, what next the old gimmer sheep?

I am sure Sporting Rifle magazine a couple of years ago had a chap posing next to a dead 'trophy' Blackface Ram shot at Carminnows.
