    Question Modified landrover - insurance

Hi looking to renew my car insurance on my landrover discovery.

    Have recently put on it:
    Bullbar with spotlights
    Roof bar with spotlights
    Steering guard,diff guards
Modular split rims with Kumho kh71 tyres
    Dual battery charging system
    Landrover dog guard

Anyone give me some pointers on the best insurance company to get a quote with??

    Cheers

I've got a td5 110 defender with a re-map, disco transfer box, egr bypass, stainless exhaust, winch, muds, etc etc all declared through Adrian flux with equality red star. Me and the mrs for under 300. My mate just got a quote on a td5 90 from the NFU and it was nearly twice that so shop about bud...

Frank Pickles in leeds is good for modified Landrovers,
the more modified the cheaper it gets,
they dont do protected/agreed valuation though, Flux were 10 more at 133, for my modified Disco.

Sureterm direct on 0800 999 2030. I have a defender 90 with a 2inch lift, larger wheels/tyres, winch, bullbars and roof rack fully comp for less than 250. Insurance also covers me for green lanes.

The only thing above that could cause you a problem is the bull bar ,there is nothing above which causes the vehicle to change from its normal insurance class .

For that you'd have to put in pink furry dice, daz and June, furry seat covers and a picture of the dog on the wheel cover go faster racing stripes and a big exhaust ,not forgetting the 2ft wide alloys .

    Adrian Flux
Specialists in modified vehicle. (they actually did me a very good quote on a non modded vehicle that I added to them as well)

contrary to above the standard breed of insurers will drop you like a hot coal if you claim and havent notified them of "any" modification.
They are just itching for any opportunity to not pay out.

if your spots are stolen they wont pay out if they are not listed from the beginning
if you skid into a tree they wont pay out if you have swapped tyre sizes from the manufacturers recommended wheel/tyre size.

    list everything!
