Thread: favorite reticle/reticule?

    favorite reticle/reticule?

Just wondered what were some of the favorite reticles in the UK? Canada and by mail order extension, the US, seem to have heavily favoured the heavy to thin duplex reticle in the recent past but lately there are more and more bullet drop compensator, mil-dot and calibre specific cross hairs with or without illumination or you choose colours. I presently have a couple duplex but I also have T, or heavy post that I've always really liked. Might be the slight connection to the Enfield T sniper scopes of WWII.

What are your favorites, technical or emotional, I'm curious either way.

    Hi Scheesman,

Here my favorite its a bit of a hybrid but dame does it work I guess its function over form! It works in low light the milldots are for running game and the bullet drop compensator does what it says on the tin.

Swarovski 4a and 7a and Schmidt und Bender No8 seem to cover all my needs on deer and running game and I've a mildot, hi-mag, set-up on the foxer.

Incidentally, mil-dot is properly used as a range estimation aid, rather than as an aid to hitting running game.

Looks like it would go very well with a hunter green stalking outfit!

My fault on the reticule addition. Got tripped up by a spell checker and should have just went with what I thought. Reticle, reticle, reticle. Now maybe I'll remember.
