38.5 grains of Varget, 85 grains Speer SPBT, 3118 fps, 27 fps spread.
    44.5 grains Viht N160, 85 grain Speer SPBT, 3190 fps, spread 37fps.
Sako 75 with 22 inch barrel since reduced to 20 inches. Loads still lawful as 3,002 fps is needed to produce 1,700 ft/lbs with an 85 grain bullet.
I mainly shoot Roe and Muntjac with this load together with a few foxes. I have also killed two Red with it albeit at relatively close range.

    thanks Norm.

thats a bit better. i have just run out of 90gr's so when im finished with the 75 gr ballistic tips for charlie ill have a crack at a nice combined load for the deer as normal with the odd charlie,

rifle is a tikka 595 22" barrel with a ase on the end.

just wish the weather was a tad better ?

I can highly recommend Uncle Norms suggestion. Those little 85gns are brilliant.
They work very well out of my blaser using 38gn varget

38 grains of varget with 85grn sierra soft points here, very accurate not much carcass damage and really do seem to do the business well on foxes.
