    Greetings from West Scotland

Good evening all, just joined the forum. I have been shooting for some forty years including many years in uniform. I currently stalk, do a lot of general vermin shooting including bird control and other specialised wildlife control, I also shoot target out to 1400m reasonably regularly.

    Hi
Welcome to the forum. West coast is starting to get quite a membership!
Does cutaway relate to your time in uniform? 1400m, not bad going, not on the west coast I take it? What round do you use at that sort of range?
    cheers
    Mick
To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

Greetings Mick, yes I have shot out that far on the West, private 'range' (think LFTTA) for want of a better word. I have pushed the 6.5 swede out to a thousand on a good day (better wind resistance than the much vaunted 7.62) and the .338LM out beyond 1400m if truth be known. As you well know, wind is the real deciding factor out here.
