    Reloading 69grain SMK .223

Im after some load date for the 69grain smk and Varget, the rifle is a Remington 700 police. I have a selection of cases mainly PPU, Remington and some RWS.

    Cheers

I use all sorts of powders
Started with H4895 and Rel.7, but also use some of the Viht N-series

As swarovski said - get on the Sierra site - you can do a print off directly from it for each bullet: the powder makers mostly offer a similar service
    AND
Get a good reloading manual (or 6)

I've had the same Rem700 as yours, going on about 15 years now, though mine is called the 700PSS according to the box

It also gets good results with the cheaper ACE 62 grn bullets from Tim Hannams.

Good luck with it - they are great fun

If you go by sierra accuload for fps you will get accurate load,it's when you try for extra fps it's harder to find cartridges sweet spot

26.5gr N540 is rather warm at standard COL by my reckoning!
Imagine primers will be fairly well cratered at that point....

The foxing guru shots 69grn Sierras using Vit n133, have a look in his book and you will see the group with all the load data. Also what twist rate is your .223 because it will need to be 1:9 or less to shoot 69's

I have been playing around with H322 in the 223 and that 23.6gr load for the 69 grn is .6gr over max from Hodgdon's site. I'm loading 50 grain bullets with 23.0 grains.~Muir
