A second hand Meopta 7X50? I'm pleased with mine and they do appear in the classifieds from time to time or ring round a few dealers.

Meopta Meopro with the new lrx ret. can get them new for around 350. There 4-12x50. Very good optics for the money.

    Cheers rob

6x42 Schmidt and Bender - you can get a decent 1 for under 300

I've have owned both of these (still have the burris and had to sell the hawke to finance new project) - both excellent scopes for my .243 IMHO:

BURRIS FULLFIELD II 6X40 PLEX RIFLE SCOPE / RIFLESCOPE BARGAIN | eBay

Hawke Endurance 30 IR All Calibre Hunting Rifle Scope | eBay

i have a burris fullfield 4-12*50 on my .243 and love it, i use the one rifle for lots of lamping for foxes and dawn/dusk fallow stalking on open arable fields and woodland. It may not be up there with the likes of swaro but i like the extra 1600 quid in my pocket and it does everything i ask of it. It hasn't shifted zero at all and i am confident talking foxes up to the 200 yard mark and deer at the normal 100 yardish ranges. Have had the scope for 4 years now and no probs.
