    Holiday at Newton stewart

Well i went camping for the 1st time for 7 days and all it did was rain and wind but beside that i met Solway stalker (colin) and me and my mate went out for a morning stalk with him.

We did not see any bucks but we did see plenty of does but that is stalking but it was a new one for me seeing roe on the foreshore.

so thanks colin and a pleasure to meet you and i think i owe you a dram of something good

    regards

One good thing about the rain and wind at Newton Stewart, it would have kept away the midges.

I grew up near there and remember one summer the midges were so bad, it got to the stage i couldnt open my eyes after all the bites from fishing one evening.

Its the worst place in the world for midges!

Which camp site did you stay at?

Well heard jim has been in the area for a fair while over 20 yrs ,don't think it would be good manners for me to ask to see a lease and as I don't think he visits the forum I don't think i will want to take your accusation any further ! Any axe you have to grind best grind it with him we seem to have had a peaceful start to the new year on the SD and long may it continue .
    regards
