    Red Dot Scopes

Good Morning everyone, I am looking for some advice please, I am booked on a driven Boar trip in December, I am taking my own rifle which is a 30.06, my scope which is an 8X56 is clearly unsuitable and I am looking for a 1X or 2X red dot, The Internet is full of them but 2 things, 1, I don't want to spend a lot of money as I may not use it again and 2, I cant find 1 that states it is suitable for a centre fire. Obviously I dont want to blow it apart on the zero range

Has anyone got any suggestions ?.

I can fully recommend you make a phone call to Continental shooting @ Dalry, A Genuine Docter red dot sight from them arrived next day service, & has survived it's fitment & testing on my 45/70 Government guide gun, (full house loads 400 grain bullet), just be sure to tell them you require the type for running Boar shoots, as there are two setups available, I believe actual experience with one, or a similar make has been had, by Yorkshire John on here, with some Boar taken too! I have used a Opti-mate red dot sight from edgar bros which is made in Japan on both my semi -auto 12bore with slugs and also used it on my .308 & .444m mine cost around 100 5 years ago and is still going strong.

Just bought a Burris Fastfire III 3 MOA from the states. Looks a great little sight and it came on Picatinney mounts. Cost 132 but I got hit for 35 for customs and brit postage charges. I haven't had it on the gun yet as I am waiting on my new .300 win mag coming over from Belgium.
