Aye my grandson passed his just after his seventeenth birthday they wanted 2700 to insure an old fiesta
just ridiculous couldn't do it, two years on and he has been driving estate vehicles which they will take into consideration, he has been looking at a small engined corsa, and has been quoted 1100 its still a lot but a big drop from two years ago.

May I ask how he managed to pass the tests and not be able to tell the difference in a clock and a tacho (rev counter)?

Perhaps it might explain the daft prices quoted for insurance

My first car had no rev counter... and I guess many youngsters now grow up without ever seeing a clock with a dial and hands, just digital numbers!

That'll be told to his kids.

Pug 106 diesel, you thought the insurance was bad, wait until the repairs start to come in. My 306 diesel had 3500 worth in 10 months.

VW all the way now, that said, one of my sixth formers put in a quote for him on my reg and came out with 7.5K
