    Thank you Phillip,

    These deer are a difficult subject and i am always pleased to get even an ordinary photo of one.He sussed me out and headed into the thicket and stood like a Buck palace guard for 45 minutes without moving a muscle.The last pic is of his last look for me and was taken under pressure and through grass.

    Not sure..5 PM or after

    Doc a neck shot is not for me,these big boys need anchoring through the shoulders..neck shots have too much hit or miss to them for me...unless thats all on offer.There is no truly definitive rut as in fallow/reds etc.

    I carry both cam and rifle,both can be a pain and a bit of a conflict at times but it is nice to be ready with camera.
    But then there are the days I carry camera only and leave Mr Seven home.
