I need to put up a sign (perhaps a few) on a boundary to explain to whoever buys/occupies the agacent land that pest & predator control takes place on our side of the line by shooting.
Apart from "Bugger off but we shoot over this side" is there any suitablbe signs already out there we could buy and pin to a tree?

One like this should do the trick.

;Bugger off; will only make things much worse. Go and see the land owner and tell them what you do and tell them its necessary and legal. Its always better to negociate than to fight but good luck. You did not say what the problem is.

We have a lot of Police dog training area signs around our Shoot, it is used by the Police occasionally, but it keeps the great unwashed on the Rights of Way and from wandering around.

This is what the National Trust use, together with warning signs like above

Beware of snakes
"Adders about "

Certainly got rid of all the dog walkers .

If you must use signs keep them short or to the point IE forestry management operations today and the date .

The biggest problem with signs is you are owning up to actually doing something, hazardous to health ,when and if something goes pear shaped they automatically come looking for you .

This happened to our Pheasent shoot, all signed and dated signs local people give listed shoot dates, but were lol. close 900 meters to a golf course we got the blame for shot fall on to there car park 900 meters away and not on a shoot day, if that wasnt an act of god mmmm ... it was actually there own greens keeper out shooting rabbits and squirrels ,but there first stop was us we had the signs up pointing the finger at us .

To much information on these Alex a sign like that will only open up to questioning by the general fools of the population .

Yes probably... This was in a wood open to visitors to the estate so I guess they felt they should try to explain the bangs and closed footpaths to paying visitors wandering around the grounds
