thinking of putting a variation in this week, been invited out on a stalk, and a farmer on my permission has asked if i can thin a few out.
problem for me, is i only recieved my fac a fortnight ago!
iv done the usual, and filled 2 slots on my ticket for the 17hmr and .223 and been out almost every night, but i dont want to be tied in with silly conditions of mentoring as i usually shoot alone and like to keep it that way!
so guys, .243 vs .270 for deer and fox.. what are your experiences? id like to only ever buy one rifle, with the rounds being fairly cheap.. ~(im a yorkshireman..seem to remember reading .270 is £3.50 per bang?) but also big enough to take on deer in the highlands if i ever manage to haggle a stalk or two up there..
cheers in advance..
