lymes disease in deer / dogs

    good evening

on my way home from work the following thoughts came into my head.

knowing we can get lymes disease from infected ticks, do deer get it and how would we know?

also can dogs get it and how would we know?

    thanks

Last question first - Yes, High temperature, dull, shifting lameness (though srvet may correct me)

As to deer, I've seen references to deer being incomplete hosts, but also ones showing an antibody response. We'd not know unless regular blood samples were taken and analysed. There have been cases of suspected Lyme causing lameness in sheep (Norway).
