    22.250 limits

    Hi is it now legal in the uk to shoot small deer using 22.250 asked in the local dealer and he sed he was sure he had read that it now is.
    I haven't seen any info on this hope some one on hear can spread some light if so I'd like to put it on my ticket as quit a few around her.

    In England, you can shoot Muntjac and CWD with a 22 Centrefire, I believe since Oct 2007?In Scotland you can shoot Roe only (We don't have either of the others....well maybe). You must be chucking out a minimum of 50gr bullet though.TJ
    Position and hold must be firm enough to support the firearm
    The firearm must point naturally at the target without any undue physical effort
    Sight alignment (aiming) must be correct
    The shot must be released and followed through without disturbing the position

    There's also a requirement for a muzzle energy of not less that 1000ft/lb.

    22.250 with 55 gr bullet has 1500 ft/ lb. so should be fine great no need to change riffels thanks to all for your replies .
