squeaky rattley sling loops!

if your Uncle Bobs or similar sling swivels are noisy, take a small O-ring (2mm or similar) and put it over the pin.
when you push the pin through the stud hole the o-ring should be compressed between swivel and stud.

Soft enough to still move around freely but remove any free space to click and rattle

Been doing that for years, I also put bits of pushbike innertube rings ca. 2 inches long over the metal adjustment loops to stop clatter on the high seat structure.

Vaseline - wipes off on the outside easily and stays in the joints and stops the squeaking. Have also had success wrapping black insulation tape around the swivels.

I take a piece of my oily wipe down rag and make a couple of strips about 150mm long, oil the swivels then wrap and tie the strips around them, cut off any long bits. It looks dodgy but it's practically waterproof, stops the squeak and metal to anything impact noise but we are hunting, not in a beauty show.
