1 day only post-I need to decide

I know I posted recently on nearly the same subject but here goes
    Went shopping on Saturday.
1st stop Sportarm, Dorchester. They have a new Ruger No1 in .257 Roberts I can have it for £650 + mounts + I will have to have it threaded + Mod+ Trade in £??? on .22-250 PH Safari with T8 and Timoney (I have scope with rings)
2nd stop Sportsman, Evershot. 2nd hand Weatherby MkV in .243, heavy barrel camo stock already threaded inc bases (to fit my scope) £600 - £150 trade in for .22-250 PH Safari so £450.

I like Ruger No1's but the Weatherby should be really accurate.
My heart says Ruger, My head and wallet say Weatherby

Weatherby's are first class rifles for the money but if you don't go with your heart, you'll just regret it if its the Ruger you really want.

Is it a proper MKV and not a Howa copy? Is it an Accumark?
I prefer the 257 cartridge but if its a MKV i would have the Weatherby.
    But thats just me.

Yes I believe it is an Accumark. I'm trying to work out if the barrel has been replaced. The barrel flutes on the top have a slightly flattened area. I think it is to accept a large scope as there seems to be no other reason. Do you know? The action says Mark 5 how do you tell?
