does anyone here know if a microlength mauser action such as the old brno .223 or .222's that accept 9.6mm case bases can be reamed out to accept the 12mm case base on a .257R?
also, would this be safe given the significant difference between a .257 and a .223!? I just feel I read somewhere that a .223 action could be reamed out to .257, but that may of course only have been a standard short or long action, not a microaction.
any takers?
