    Kings on the move

25 attempts to get some sort of photo ended up with a pair that are only so so imo..clarity and freezing needs improving, wasnt an easy task to get any of them in the frame.

Still a cracking photo! Trying to get the perfect shot with birds is well hard, to get this one is impressive.

and from only 25 attempts....I normally have to shoot about a 100 shots to get 1 decent one!

    Keep them coming!

Daft Dog as you would know many shots are taken showing 1/2 or less of the birds,to get the two above was a relief ..finally. I will keep on playing with them and the camera, its a great pastime and surely beats sitting on a computer.

Nothing wrong with that mate, and the colours are nice and vibrant. I have hundreds of photos taken at the feeders trying to get a decent shot where the action is frozen, bloody difficult, well it is for me.

JB it is no easier for me either, it comes down to practice and practice with a modicum of luck mixed in.
If the clarity was 100% or even 90 % it could have been a good pic..too much contrasting colour in the background too with all the Lavender means the left bird`s feet are cammed in.

You're a bloody perfectionist man , most folk would be delighted with that. That said if you don't push yourself you won't improve.

I agree, i would have been happy with that picture!

That said i know what you (Johhgryphon) mean about the composition (the feet and the flowers behind), but then its not like you can move a parrot into a better position for "the shot".

    Still a great photo!

But more than heppy to be shown a better one

    Regards

Thats my main issue also! Even when photographing people, with a shallow depth of field unless you get it spot on on the eyes the photo looks awful!

there last few are also good!
