I attended a BASC shooters evening a couple of weeks ago.
One of the topics on the evening is the new snaring legislation that comes into effect now (Scotland only).

In brief you have to register yourself with your local constabulary after you have completed
a half day training course where a certificate would be issued to be submitted with your application.
The cost of the course would be £45 and we are hoping to get them to run a day in Edinburgh if I can get at least eight bodies.I have four at the moment and was hoping some S/D members in my area may be interested.Drop me a line, I have pasted some links below with more information.

The Snares (Identification Numbers and Tags) (Scotland) Order 2012

Wildlife and Natural Environment (Scotland) Act 2011

Well. I will be interested as I need this new peice of paper so put me down for it bud

But I have to say, this is another disgrace, a money making scheme along the lines of the Dsc and the way it is going !.

Records to be kept of all snares and catches for 2 years !!! what a farce.

First my Larson trap, now my snares!

But they will never take my FREEEDOMMMMMM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
