    This mornings call out



    i was called out to possibly find a "missed" Roe deer this morning this is the findings !.

    very impressed with your dog, stuck to that trail very well. How far had that doe ran? where was it hit?

    170 yds ish , most of the track was from the deer before the shot was fired . as i had only a rough idea where the bullet strike site was so i find it easier to find where the deer come from and work forward from there !

    but the clever bit is in the beggining she was tracking 3 or more roe (thats what the land owner said , the stalker shot at 1 roe out of a group of 3-4) and then continued to track the wounded one , i never tought her that she does that her self !

    the deer was hit behind the diafram exiting through the liver and was dead about an hour before i got there .

    Can I ask Why you did not start from the impact site which you said was by the power poles. Which is where I would have started tracking.
    I am not critisising I am just wondering.
    AT THE AGE OF 50 I DECIDED I WAS GOING TO GROW OLD F***ING DISGRACEFULLY
