They are great dogs for deear they are very seady and as a HPR they are what i would call short range so work close. They can be heavey so good training and displine on there eating habits is needed.

    + 1 6 pointer

I have only shot over them for game birds, they really excelled at this, one of the dogs was a bit heavy and struggled getting out of a banked stream, overall the times I have been out with them they have been a credit to work with, nice steady temperament and solid good companion as well

They do shed a LOT though. Although they look like a large GWP they are not the same coat.

A lady walks 4 down by the river near me. There is also a boarding kennels nearby who owner shoots and breeds Spinones.

I really like them, the ones I see walked the the river are very friendly, always come for a pat, can get heavy as the like to lean in you whilst stroking them.

They are huge and dwarf my vizsla. Never seen one work but from what I see socially I would have one.

Have competed against Spins, in HPR working tests.

They are slower and not as rangey as the GSP or as stylish when hunting, but have great noses, and are apparently relatively easy to train and work.

Could be a great deer dog, I would be interested to find out if anyone has worked one on deer.

Poor dogs, you would think he would try and find them good homes other than just shooting them !!!!

Although I did hear they're all slicked back hair, leather jackets, love romantic poetry and spaghetti bolognese just like mama used to make

The Mrs has owned one and part trained it on game and deer, both jobs done well, temperament is fine but can be a little aloof if not properly socialised as youngsters. make sure you buy from working bred stock, agree they can get heavy. ours was not slow by any means but she was kept lean and very fit. Mrs loves em, Im not so keen.
