    best boots

    hi all, my boots need replacing and just wandering whats the best boots must be waterproof and tough thanks

    So far Meindl .....was going to try black highlander next not found the perfect boot yet but the Douvre are very good .

    Meindl Douvre or Blackislander you won't go wrong with either . The Meindl's sole is a bit harder and can be slippy on rocky surfaces but still my preferred choice.

    Just bought a pair of Jack Pike Tundra boots 70 very comfy,light and very waterproof wore them 3 days in continuous rain in Scotland 10 out of 10.

    Altberg Highlander GK. They are a lot lighter than they look and have kept me dry and warm on over 50 days stood in river meadows so far this season whilst picking up. Very comfy but reccomend changing the insoles for the aftermarket ones that Altberg sell.

    Any of the Alltberg, Meindle or Blackislander boots will do you well.

    My grandfather always said that a good pair of boots will cost a working mans , weeks wages!

    Meindl Glockners. Have had Lundhags and danners and both leaked.
