Thread: No stalking next week?

    No stalking next week?

Forecast is for bitter easterly winds next week and start of following which usually affects the deer, so it might be worthwhile making the most of the weekend.

And next week, go wildfowling! That's what I'm doing anyway.

They still move in cold easterly winds, get out there and find the sheltered spots

Surely they are more likely to be on the move if it's cold as they have to feed to keep warm. It's just a matter of being in the right place?
It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.

Hoping to be out myself end of next week. I would think that the dry cold air from the east would be just what we need. Some cold to get them feeding and dry so they should get out from under the trees into the sheltered spots. That's what I'm hoping anyway.

I think theyll lie low for a day or 2 but hunger will soon drive them out especially once the sun comes out above the tree line. Im out sunday morn so here's hoping....
