Cool Hats off to Strathclyde :-)

    I currently have x1 .22, .308 T3 varmint & a 7.62 L39A1.
I put in for a variation for another 2 .22's & a .243 with mods. to suit, I was granted everything I requested apart from my ammo allocation for .243 and all this was processed in 5 days!
Outstandingly impressed, painless and speedy proccess :-)

L&B have had my one-for-one variation since March...that's March this year in case anyone was worried about their standards dropping!!

Brilliant. I am looking to move back to the L&B area in the next few months, better get my ticket sorted out with Lancashire before I move back then - rather than mess about with variations with L&B by the looks of things.

I'm not optimistic that the merger of the forces on 1st April will be the best for firearms licencing either. I had a brief chat with a lass in the L&B office a couple of months ago and they seemed rather glum about the whole thing.

Strathclyde are ok with variations, they are not so keen to allow you more ammunition even if you re load.

My variation to add the .222 took 3 weeks the other month with L&B, I have been known to drop in to fettes and keep calling though !

Since march is totally out of order, somit well amiss there.
