    Off topic for TJ.

I have read in the paper today about the 3rd Battalion The Black Watch being involved in heavy fighting with the Taliban. Apparently, one soldier was wounded.
TJ, let us know you`re safe and well. Our thoughts are with all you guys.

    Hello,

    I'm fine, Thanks for asking.

We have had some excitment over here yes, thankfully though it's not constant. We go out and do the Op, then return to camp to sort ourselves out again.

We have had to repatriate one of our Soldiers and we have had some injuries. We have also had some great success, The Bn has found Arms Caches, Drugs and various other thing so we are doing a good job, it won't win the battle, but it's a step towards getting there.

    Thanks for the concern.

I'm sure you can get 338 LM in BT as I'm sure there will be a few of those in use out there from Accurarcy international are there not?

Not nice to be on the recieving end of-but I guess those on the receiving end are not very nice either & thats why they are at the recieving end buddy!

Good work, keep your powder dry & best wishes-Lee

Strange how you mention the .338, I now have on my flick a .338 as I'm the only one from our set up when we deploy that has used a Bolt Action rifle, I asked and I got, it doesn't half kick when your used to moderated rifles, but as it isn't repetative shooting with it, it shouldn't matter much.

I also like the 5-25x56 PM2 on it, I have on my .308 a 3-12x50 PM2 and rate that, but this is extremely good, albeit a tad expencive too!!!

    Thanks for the support

Two of the boys in my the syndicate I run are Gurka's & they use them, I think they are off training in Belize at the moment until the start of the Fallow Season anyway! They are only allowed a 30/06 out on the estate though!

    good work & stay safe-Lee

Hi TJ - glad to hear you are OK.

I am just coming back to life after a hip replacement - probably caused by DMS boots and puttees - and it is great to see you in the forum.

    Keep your heed doon,

    Charles
