Thread: Best grouping at 300M

    Best grouping at 300M

What sort of grouping is achievable at say 300M with a top of the range stalking rifle outfit(for larger deer)Is there a chambering that shoots an inherantly tighter grouping?

Don't know about inherently accurate, but my Sako 22/250 will do 1" to 1.25" at 300 without much bother. I have a custom 260 which does no better, and maybe not just as good.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you......

I recon an inch or less is doable, I have managed 2" with factory ammo, I'd like to try some of my reloads and see how much better I can do.

1 moa would be considered the norm for 5 shots at 300m/yds from a factory sporter rifle, anything better then that is a bonus.

at 300m theres a lot more factors to take into account other than just the caliber, the quality and consistancy of the ammo for one.300m isnt really a long way any well build well loaded caliber should be able to hold an inch or less,
