    sad news...

my 1.9td puggy 306 hatchback is at her end. She has worn the clutch out, her heater matrix is sludged because the water pump is trashed, none of the door electrics work and her boot can't lock, she also needs shocks, a track rod end and steering rack. That's before an MOT finds more.

I think it's time to put her down but after 231,000 miles she was good to me. It's now time to clean out the pockets, look under the seats and close the door for one last time. Good memories of all the deer she has carried...

Sad indeed. Are you planning on putting her out of her misery yourself, or taking her to the scrappy?

To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

Get a Dacia Logan van, all made from Renault kit and has well proven mechanicals for Lada prices.

    Deepest sympathies Paul

A good friend of mine drove a 306 (or it could have been a 206?) for years across fields in the pursuit of deer too. Apart from getting stuck in a collapsed cattle grid and dragged out of a couple of bogs by the farmer it was surprisingly agile. Rust, MOT repairs and the stench of deer finally made it non-economically viable I believe.

Funnily enough he's a teacher too
