    Ideas for simple running targets

Without getting into complex pully systems and motors , has anyone any ideas for simple running targets. I was thinking something along the lines of a barrel down a slope.

zip-wire at an angle to suit speed, tire suspended below with a balloon or target board inside. rope around a 'block' or tree of some sort to pull it back and to release it at the shooters end. 150yds good rope, a couple of pulleys and a small old tyre should be all needed.

When practicing for driven boar shoots we screw a board to the side of a tyre and role it down the hill, carrying them back up is a pain, but gives the barrels time to cool...

Yes, was going to say the same, rolling a tire down a slope. Just make sure good backstop!

Some people in the USA apparently practice on a large sack of ballons let loose and allowed to blow in a soft breeze.
