    Ramshot powders

    well i've been and done it. bought myself some Ramshot Big Game powder from Kranks dam sight cheaper the my regular stuff going to try it out on my 30-06 first . then was hoping to try it out on my 7x57 Was looking through there loading data though and there's no recipe for it is there any one out there who has developed a load using this powder or am i going to be the first !!!

    DRAG1 You could try E mailing them thats what I did for my 338-06 and they sent me back a list of loads for that caliber.

    They may just tell you to use the 7-08 data as a starting point. IIRC, they're very close in case capacity.

    Edit: Yep, just checked. Only 1 gr difference in case capacity between the 7x57 and the 7-08. The load data should be interchangeable.

    Back to the OP...

    INteresting, I just realized that you guys across the pond actually have a powder from Ramshot that we don't get; "Wildboar". Only available in Europe.

    It appears to be a very nice powder, and I'm wondering why it's not available here...hmmm. ???

    Thanks for the info Marine iv'e sent em an e mail as well was looking through the data for hogdens and alliant powders and like you say the loads are very similar
