I find H4831 was an excellent powder in my .300. But when the price of powder went silly I swapped to Vit N160 which is pretty similar. I now have a pile of 4831 so may well swap back again.
I shoot 165s, 180s, 200s and have some 220gr to play with soon.

    Hey Wayne,

If it was me I'd also start out with the H4831, given you already use it.

I personally use Lovex 070-02 (Accurate 4350) with 180 grain Nosler Accubonds in my 300 WM. I'm in the process on changing barrel, but this combo gave me groups of around one MOA. And, this powder is Not too expensive.

    Good luck,

    Christian

And I shall have mine with me on Arran this weekend. Well, you know it makes sense.

A friend of mine uses Ramshot Magnum in his 300 Ultra Mag. Very accurate and at 32 a tub may be worth a punt in the similar Win Mag.

Wayne i get best results with reloader 25 in the 300 R.U.M using 180 accubonds, it is hellish accurate but i have found its brutal on roe.
I was reccomended the accubonds from a guy on here as his mate who uses them on everything from muntys to plains game with very little meat damage in a .300 wetherby which is not much different velocity wise.
But i have found them to expand too much when you get over 3000fps.
So Im either looking at trying partitions and keeping the speed or dropping the velocity with the accubonds .
