Was watching FsB tonight and seen this DIY NV unit  and thought that I might be brave enough to give it a go, even though I know nothing about electronics

They mentioned that the 'recipe' was available on the internet, I've had a look but there is loads of crap also, so just wondering if anyone has a link to a site wit a good description?

Here's a link to the unit on the latest FsB episode, the NV unit starts at 11:53

Thanks in advance :D

looks like a lardy vision unit
Clive Ward is apparently producing a retail version at around the £500 mark

lot of money for £100 worth of materials

Thanks for the replies

Did some googling on this Lardy NV but to be honest I think I will need a 'dummies guide to lardy night vision' book it all sounds a bit too techy for me

Lardy vision is under wraps for whats exactly in it

however you can build a IR NV kit fairly easily

using a Security Camera and a small screen plus a battery pack (12v)

heres my first one

I now use use a set of Video Goggles as the output

with various IR lights this one is bright but only short range good for rats in a barn etc

for foxes at long range you need a bit more power and a lens

couple of usful forums

www.nightvisionforumuk.com Index page

and tho an airgun forum has a good DIY NV section

Night Vision Optics
