    hi just a question to you guys who shoot muntys ,do or would you go out for them if you had a 3 hr drive and the forcast was freezing , i did it last year and it put about 4 inch of snow down ,never so ,heard or so any tracks , so wasted my invite ,fuel and b and b money,thanks in advance, arron.

    High seat or stalking or a bit of both ?

    highseat mostly,but stalk to them.

    Muntjac dont like the cold, they will be on the move!

    They are easily spooked Arron but the cold wont stop them, they don't like deep snow though but I imagine you are going south and you probably won't see any (snow) that is. You will be much more successful from a high seat than walking though.
    i have shot plenty of Munties on freezing days and its this time of year when the cover is at its weakest that you are most likely to see them and get a shot off. There is never a perfect day just days when you could be luckier than others. Just move very slowly and glass a lot !

    Just got in, been sitting in a seat, seen 7 muntis shot one,wouldnt have seen them walk stalking.Any way they move too quick across my rides. Had the hunt in yesterday so stirred them up a bit.
    Sit tight arron you will see them.
