Anyone used these in 7-08, I have a box and was about to make some up but I have struggled to find on line data for the load. Can anyone suggest a COL, I will just start them off 20 thou off otherwise and see what happens..:)

I do load for this calibre but yet to use this bullet despite being a big fan of them in .308 and 30-06. Having said that, 150gr swift scirocco high on my list for next load in the 7mm-08 so would be interested to hear how you get on with them. In my experience with .30 calibres they like to be well off the lands at 40 thou+ and this was also the advice of Steve Bowers who knows far more about reloading than I ever will. Great bullet and, whilst a little fussy in my experience, capable of superb accuracy and on game performance.

From the Swift manual: 150gr Scirocco, max COL 2.800"

Personally, I'd load them 20 thou off the lands as you suggest whilst ensuring that they cycle through the magazine and feed properly.

powders:
H414 41.4-44.5
H4350 43.7-47.0 *
Varget 37.2-40.0
RL15 37.2-40.0
RL19 44.2-47.5 *
IMR4064 37.2-40.0
IMR4350 42.8-46.0
IMR4895-39.5

Asterisk indicates optimum powder based on lowest variation in velocity, and hence should be the most accurate.

COL of 2.800 works for both my 120 and 139 grain loads, it's seems a sweet spot for these weights. But suppose it may depend on your rifle and bullet weight however not a bad place to start for these weights.
