    Scottish Airgun Ban Consultation

    Guys

Nobody has talked about this for weeks. Im concerned this shouldnt drop off your radar.

Moreover Im worried that your efforts to date may have been misdirected. The aim here is not to get votes on a petition. Thes Scots Government have issued a formal consultation process.

They have to listen to this.

You can find out how to get your opinion counted here. http://www.basc.org.uk/en/media/key_...A4B7FF3E36033D

Dont let this opportunity pass. The deadline is March 15th. Airguns are how most young people start to shoot. This is another attack on shooting designed to choke off new shooters to all walks of the sport.
Yes I should have taken the Blue Pill!

We were so busy congratulating ourself of dodging Orwells vision we marched right into Huxley's.

Just signed the patition. The one obvious question is how are/would the Scottish Government going to police this? Somebody could pop over the border and buy an air rifle legaly in England and take it back to Scotland so I can't see how it would reduce crime with air rifles all it will do is inconveniance anybody who wants to commit a crime with a air rifle by them having to pop into England to buy one or store one with a mate. Unless the eventual plan is to put in place a physical border between Scotland and England........................ We need to help BASC bury this idea/ initative.

No Jason, there'll be no border, but in not very many years Westminster will be pointing North of the border at the "obviously successful" Scotish licensing scheme and saying, "England needs one of those".
Airgun crime in Scotland is already dropping and it's continued decline will be trumpeted as being directly attributable to the new scheme, when we all know that's just complete testiballs.
You can't say muntjac without saying, Mmmmmm.

Will it still be legal to buy a crossbow in Scotland?

    Hello Jason,

BASC have already done something about this one, if you are in BASC they will have sent you an online petition to sign, as already said EVERYONE NEEDS TO SIGN. This may be the thin end of the wedge for us all, so get behind it please
