    25-06

Thinking of getting a 25-06...so testing the water.

i currently have a .270 so would be interested in a swap or a 'trade in' towards a 25-06 if someone was interested..if not a straight up buy.

Ideally a mid range quality 25-06..

    cheers!

Just out of interest, why the 25-06 when you already have a .270 ?

I just think the .270 is too much of a mule etc, and have had a couple of different bullet makes not perform well for me.

had a few hinds last week with a friends 25-06 (that I've shot with a few times) and it was superb. Very nice to fire and the bullets performed superbly.

a few friends recently have been moving away from the 270 to different calibres recently, and i have started to see why..

but this is just my opinion..

I did the same. I got a .270 and had it for 12 months, and really couldn't get on with it. Tried a few other calibre s and dropped on to 25-06. That was 5 years and the relationship is still strong. It's smooth to shoot, fast/ flat, and drops everything you point it at. If you do any foxing try the 85 grain federal, vaporised.
