    Exporting .318WR brass.

    Gentlemen,

I am visiting your lovely island in April with family in tow.

Apart from having a chance at a Row Buck somewhere in Surrey, I would like to pick up some .318WR brass and/or factory ammo box of 20. Does anyone know if this calibre is available in the London ? if so where ?

While I can get the required import permit into Oz, are there export restrictions ?

    Cheers.

Westly Richards are in Birmingham list it on their website Rifle

I would also try J Roberts and Sons and Holland and Holland who are in London. They will all be able to advise on export etc. loaded ammunition in the UK can only be acquired and held by some one with appropriate authority on their firearms certificate. Personally I have authority for 22rf, 243win and 7x65r - I cannot buy say 308, nor am allowed to posess such ammunition.

My advice is try the Australian concession holder for Midway.

Is Bruce Bertram's brass really so bad that you don't want to "go native"?

Here in UK the British importer Henry Krank charges prices that are a joke! I think around AUS $ 8.00 per case in 318 WR.

Me, unless I was desparate to have the correct headsatmp, I'd think about converting, say 30-06 brass or similar.
