    FREE - 100 x PPU .270 Win' 150gn soft points

THESE ARE REALLY CLOGGING UP MY AMMUNITION SAFE NOW, SO THEY'RE NOW GOING FREE TO ANYONE WHO CAN ARRANGE THEIR COLLECTION FROM HEREFORDSHIRE.

I've got 100 x Privi Partizan 150gn soft point rounds that are surplus to requirements now I've got a decent 130gn homeload worked up. The PPUs group to around 1" at 150 metres in my short barreled Parker Hale so would probably better that with a longer barrel.

40 rounds x in original packing, plus 60 rounds loose (although I can possibly find a spare ammo box for them).

I'd like rid of them ASAP but I can hang on for a convenient meet up, as this needs to be face to face. Obviously usual FAC conditions apply!

    Thanks,

    Adam.

Adam, sorry that its taken so long for me to reply to this. I would be interested in these rounds if you still have them. Where are you based? JC

I've got two 130gn loads I use, depending on the .277 bullets in stock locally (it's one or other but never both ):

    1. "The Chris Perkins Express" is Hornady SP 130gn bullets / CCI BR2 primers (or Winchester 9 1/2s) / 60gns H4831sc / 2.77" off the ogive / 0.003" neck tension (it's a near maximum load running at about 3,250fps but accurate as hell)

    2. Sierra ProHunter 130gn bullets / CCI BR2 primers (or anything else lying around - it's not fussy) / 54.7gns Reloader 22 / 2.75" off the ogive / 0.003" neck tension

I use RWS or Winchester brass trimmed to SAAMI spec'.

My Parker Hale likes the bullet seated 0.015"-0.020" off the lands but the long chambers in some .270s makes for an overly long round and means finding a compromise in bullet seating depth - if that the case I just seat at calibre depth of .277"

Oh bugger! I've turned into a reloading anorak

    Cheers for that ,

I've got some 130 sierra's in the cupboard and a fresh tub of H414 which I keep meaning to put together . now it that time of year i had better get my backside in gear as the freezer is nearly empty !

Cheers for that Sako , did not know of them , usually I get it from an RFD in Weymouth , about same price , but in 150grn SP.

Never seen the need to spend fortunes on top brands , but as I have all the reloading gear thought I'd make up some 110 & 130 grn.
