Picked up my new rifle today that my mate just finished building, 6.5-284, Tikka 695 blueprinted action, trigger all done, 24'' Border Barrel fluted varmint profile and bedded in McMillan A5 stock.

He then went for a wander with another friend he and shot 3 of the 4 in the picture. One was a young spiker with a missing back lower leg that had healed well. I was blethering on the phone to him while I was watching him come off the hill with his 3rd beast when a small group ran into the field in front of me. So number 4 was added for the morning.

Good day allround. Even the dogs posed nicely for the photo...

Nice bit of kit. I was looking over your ground last weekend from the top of my place. I could see deer in what looked like the field in the background of pic 2. Perhaps bump into you one day? Perhaps get the chance to pick your brains over a cuppa. Glad you had a good first outing with the rifle.

Nice looking rifle- how much work was done to the action/bolt? Considering something similar myself.
