    Zero issue

    Hi all

i was zeroing my 10/22 semi custom today and was grouping 3 touching shots at 45 yards ish and happy but then my zero dropped 3inch !!! Without any turret adjustment. I shot approx 60 rounds ? Anyone any ideas I'm using a mtc connect.

I know cleaning may help but 3 inch is a lot to drop at that range. I was still grouping well at 3 inch low

    many thanks

Scope somehow shifted in mount,or if moderated maybe clipping, just a couple of possibles, doubt its cleaning.

    Doubt it's cleaning - it's a 22!!!

    - check your mod is on tight and no fouling in mod
    - check your scope mounts are tight
    - try another batch of ammo
    - try a dry pull through
    - change ammo
    - change scope
    - then try a proper clean if issue still isn't resolved

Seems unlikely it's mounts as its dropped straight down rather than off to one side.

    good luck

Don't clean the barrel and continue to shoot and keep shooting without cleaning. See if things settle out.
And don't let those infernal cats around firearms. They put a hex on them, don't you know??~Muir

Just my opinion, but was all the ammo from the same box-batch?
Perhaps slightly different mussel velocity, if you changedfrom one box to another.

or a shifting lens ! I'd try a different scope first.

Get a proper scope. I put a Viper in the bin years ago as it wouldnt hold zero.
