    Mil-dot in low light

Does anybody has experience with the mil-dot reticle for stalking in low light. Is the visibility of this reticle as good as the German n4 ?

its fine, even better if you get an illuminated reticule!

I was intrested in a Meopta scope with Mil-dot reticle or even a Zeiss Conquest, but like a reticle which is clearly visible in low light with slightly older eyes.

I've had Mil Dot S&B glass, never had an issue with it, I also have the P4F S&B glass and rate it highly.
Position and hold must be firm enough to support the firearm
The firearm must point naturally at the target without any undue physical effort
Sight alignment (aiming) must be correct
The shot must be released and followed through without disturbing the position

I think you have to check with the spec of the recticule. There is no rule what thickness the line between the dots is.
Most good scope manufacturers will be able to provide details.
    For example a 8x56 S&B. No 4 recticule
Thick line covers 14cm or 5" at 100yds
Thin line covers 1.4cm or 0.5" at 100yds Not great as a long range or target scope .

A 4-16 x 50 Varmint 8 recticule in comparison only covers 4mm at 100m. If one turns to 4 mag on this
FFP scope you hardly see the thin line in daylight, never mind dusk.

My Kahles 6-24x56 with mil3 recticule has 0.5cm or 0.18" line thickness at 100m and actually seems much
stronger than the varmint 8. It is also illuminated.
I have shot deer with this scope in absolute last light at 6 mag off hand. Can't remember if I had the illumination
on or not. Normally I'm not fussed with illumination.
