    Sako 85 hunter laminated stainless

Anyone have the above rifle in 6.5x55, I have the .243 in S/S and can't fault it. Like the look of the laminate stock, just wondered how it fairs against the synthetic.

    Cheers Bryan

I have got a 6.5x55 in synthetic stainless and it is brilliant as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure the laminate would be too

    +1 Syn/St in 6.5x55

Ok, mine's the 75, but a cracking rifle, especially with 140gr SSTs...

    Cheers

Yes the Syn/St is a cracking rifle, do any of you have the fluted barrel?

    Cheers

No, sorry. Bog standard kit for me I'm afraid, although I went lightweight by adding a Hardy Gen IV mod over my previous T8 brick

How is the Hardy Gen IV mod, I have the Atec maxum 4 on my 243 which I find ok, maybe not as quiet as I thought though..

Yes me got one. Had just over two years and not used it yet, other than some zeroing shots over a year ago.
Perhaps will get off me ar5e and give it a go sometime. I would not hesitate to buy another if having my time again.

Not as quiet as the T8, but 45% of the weight. It's a stalking rifle, so the weight reduction was more important than a couple of dB leaking out. Always going to be a balance of weight vs noise, and this works for me. For £300 it had better!

    Cheers

Ok guys here's another question, what weight of bullets are you shooting, going by the bottom of your posts Iain I take It It's Hornady 140gr SST...
