I look forward to seeing svret's results for the 308.
I also have some Varget to play with, & have just bought my first TTSX bullets (0.80 each!!!!! OUCH!!!! - They better be good!!!!)

I'm also thinking I will try some Alliant Reloder 15 with 130 grn TTSX. It goes very well with 150 grain bullets giving no signs of pressure in my Sako & may do well on the 130 ones.
Alliant don't seem to publish data for Barnes 130 grains TTSX (or any other 130 for that matter), so I'm trying to interpolate the info they give for 125 & 150 grain bullets . It looks like max load should be about 49.75 grains for the 130. Soooo I think I might start at 96% of that i.e. 47.76 grains. Any ideas / suggestions / warnings ???

I just loaded some TTSX 130 grainers in 308 with 50 grains of Varget - the cases (Lapua) were almost full (about 1.5mm down from top) so plenty of compression in the load!
Barnes say max is 52 grains - too full methinks!
Another issue I saw was the canelures limit the positions for seating to so I can't crimp the necks as I usually do.
I'll see if I can test them later today - should be interesting - will try chrono & grouping - fingers crossed - At 40 a box of 50 I don't want to be playing too much!

Just got in from testing the TTSX 130 grainers out of my 308 Sako with a 20" barrel & am quite happy
    - 50 grains of Varget in Lapua 308 cases with Fed LR primers gave me a good group of about an inch (in a rainstorm so I was rushing a bit worrying about the chrony getting wet!), 2900 Ft/sec +/- 10 on the chrony. No pressure signs - well happy with that as a starting point.
I did end up crimping the necks onto the land between the first two canelures - so happy with that too.
Then I tried some Nosler BT 125 grain bullets with the same load & put them in the same 1" group with very much the same velocity - 2900 ft/sec.
This means I can swap between the two with no scope twiddling! ( Ready for FC leases next year!).

Now time to relax & load some more!

Varget is listed by Barnes as giving the most accurate load for the 130 grain TSX BT in .308. I settled on 49.0 grains which gives me the best group at an average mv of 2,965 fps through my 22" T3 barrel. It also gives the same point of impact as my 150 grain SST load.

Have finally got round to testing the loads. Field firing off bipod and sandbag at the back. To be honest it was reasonably stable but not as stable as I would like. I shot 3 groups with 46, 47 and 48 grains of H4895. The 46g load went into 0.6 in with two together and one horizontally to the right. Virtually no vertical on this group which is interesting. 47 grain load was the worst at 1.2 in with virtually no horizontal dispersion this time. The 48g group was 0.83 with a mix of horizontal and vertical.
My plan is to jiggle around the 36 grain mark and see what happens. I'm pretty sure I will see some small groups

    Hi srvet,
Done some testing this week, the best by far was h4895 45.5 grains 3 groups of 3 all touching bar one which I pulled, no pressure signs. Tried the varget which was ok at 1 inch , best weight 51 grains compressed. just need to chrono the h4895 when I get a chance. Hope this is useful.

Excellent, interesting that our loads are so similar. Obviously more groups will be needed to assess statistical significance etc
    Keep us posted!!
