In which Scrumbag's deer rifle finally arrives

Well folks, it was a long time coming with problems with Austrian customs officials and an incorrectly tapped receiver, my rifle finally arrives! Now, this was supposed to be my first rifle as a general deer/piggie rifle but some others came along first.

Anyway, enough of that, the interesting bits:

    Rifle: Voere 98
    Calibre: 7x64
    Detachable magazine
    Uprated match grade trigger
    3 position "Wing" safety
    3-12x50 Zeiss Duralyt

    Now some pictures:

Will be selecting ammo and zeroing next weekend whilst being assisted by Kalahari.

Now, Malc, about some of your deer...

    Scrummy

    Now you really have problems!!!!!

Still it is a very nice bit of kit. The stock is the perfect height for eye/scope alignment and it is a proper 98 with nice timber and good blueing. We are in real rifle territory!

Yup, thats a handsome thing. If it shoots as good as it looks you're onto a winner there.

I would think that Zeiss cost close to what the rifle did if not more possibly .

Forget the rifle, I am loving the rest, is it available in all good gun shops? Is it waterproof?

Seriously though it looks grand, happy hunting with it.

One day I want to be as wonderful as my dogs think i am .....
