    Fox Shooting Tips

    Hi guys...

Im new to this forum and im looking for tips on fox shooting during the day in a woodland area. Im a keen deer stalker and ive noticed that a few deer gralloch's ive buried have been dug up by foxes. One of the foxes was unfortunate enough to walk out in front of me when i was up the high seat with my rifle but im sure theres more in the area. So any tips on calling, weather conditions, time during the day (early morning, late afternoon etc) would be very helpful. Or if anyone recommends a call to use.

Welcome to the forum put some bait down and put a steel spike or wire it down, so when chalie comes along you have longer to take the shot. Could also try calling but, if your in a woodland they can come from anywhere, so a 360 view helps.

Put the gralloch in one place all the time, by your high seat.

    Then sit and wait...

+1 and calling but whichever call you use don't overdo it.
I managed to call one in within a couple of minutes yesterday. Then this morning had a vixen that had been eluding me on the lamp just by waiting quietly.
I am pretty sure she was call shy too.

They only need spooking once to learn !!!
