    Game Warden & estates security officer - Italy

    Game warden required for 8000 acre private estate in Tuscany.

    Initially responsible for management & care of game stocks, primarily Red, Fallow, Roe, Mouflon & Wild Boar, as well as providing a visible security presence by vehicle patrols. Security and Game monitoring is carried out by a chain of computer linked, motion-sensitive cameras which will be your responsibility, as will ensuring a network of automatic feeders are working efficiently.

    You will be prepared to permanently move to Italy, learn the language and become a vital part of the estate management team. Happy to work unsupervised to achieve required results, you will have experience in keepering & deer management, as well as excellent references from previous related employment.

    Credit will be given to individuals able to demonstrate competences including tractor usage, forestry experience & estates maintenance. Skills such as carpentry, welding, electrics, plumbing, brick laying etc are all valuable as the location is rural & self-reliance a necessity.

    Very attractive salary & conditions of employment for the right applicant. Uniform and side-arm are provided, as is accommodation & company fueled vehicle.

    Wonder what the sidearm is for, maybe you will have plenty of opportunities to be shot at or could it be for humane despatch! Me thinks it may be the former.

    Fortunately not - Italian uniforms for any 'Guard' or Police Role will ALL feature a silly hat and an unnecessary side-arm.

    Having said that, some of those mushroom poachers swing a mean wicker collection-basket!
