Others will probably advise an inch high at 100m, but I would suggest starting with a 50m zero.

Makes life easy as you get used to the rifle and calibre. It also means that it should be about an inch high at around 100m and back on again at around 150m.

I like Sako 100gr soft points.

But you really will have to buy a few different ones and work out which is best for your set up.

zero 200yards use 80g will cover all your shooting neads from fox to deer roe not red if your shooting red deer 100g if not dont wast your time with 100g

I use the 75 and 95gn Accui Tips in my 700, I have set the gun @ 200 yards which suits me just fine.
As said you need to try different rounds, however I was quite lucky and only have one box of rounds that didn’t suit

200 yards with a 243 is perfect, dont do the 1 inch high at 100 yards or you will find yours miles high at 200.

i use 70g ballistic tip. zeroed at 1"high at 100, i shoot foxes out to 300 without having to move the point aim.
obviously for red deer you will need a minimum of 100g
of course your bullet weight will depend on the bullet drop at different ranges

I use a 90 grain sako soft point for roe and fox mainly. Zeroed 1 inch high at 100 yards. Point and shoot out to 200.
