    Amax in 6.5 ?

    Hi all
Just been looking at my hornady chart for bullets and wondering if anyone can fill me in on why they make 6.5 Amax in 120 and 123 grain. Ive looked at the bc on them both and get that the 123 beats the 120 but if thats the only reason why make the 120. Anyone help me be a little less confused please
    Regards
    Jimmy

120 grainers were made before 120. Got a couple of pals who say 123's shoot better than the 120's

    Hi rem284
So guess what ya saying is that hornady improved the bullet when they fetched out the 123 but kept the 120 running to appease the guys that were already using them ? Seems an awfully big expense to run two bullets so close just to not upset a few folk that dont want to change

I can't say I'm overly intrested in any of the A-Max but they also just released a 6.5mm 123 grain SST as well !

Here's a link to everything Hornady makes available to the 6.5mm shooter !

123gr Amax is Hornady's answer to the 123gr Lapua Scenar and aimed (pardon the pun) at the 'new' 6.5mm Grendel/Lapua/Creedmoor cartridges...
