Another impressive one, we will expect you to trail him now and get a cracking snapshot in the morning light

He is a cracker, I think I would piss my pants if I saw a Sambar stag like that.

what do you think he would go in " John?

A very handy stag there John!
I find it hard to estimate length accurately from the back, but his shape and spread makes me think he is right up there?!

moses I saw him a lot better through the Swaro`s at 10 x than the camera and even though late and dark and 900 yards away I did a quick run of 500 yards up a gully away from the roos and tried to intercept the spot where I thought they may have come out.I had a very brief look from a log to hide behind and decided it was simply too dark ethically and backed out of there quickly. With such reduced chances on a stag as he is I want to maximise any chance and prefer to "have another go" He is high 20`s close to 30"`...who cares? He`s a goody haha.I will fry his cods and eat with pleasure.

4AM today i went outside to check the weather and it was foggy as f**ckery, that stopped me having a look today. If the wind is right I shall go this evening but I wont be surprised if I ever see him again..the baa-steds are like that.

Benny how about a tale of your meatman from last week, come on!

A poor front shot, but it shows a bit of length

You're right John, it doesn't really matter how big he is but, I find it quite difficult to estimate Sambar as I haven't seen many except the few a mate has in the park. 30" seems to be a bit of a magic number with these fellas.

He certainly looks to have some weight in the antler and good thick beems was he 3x3?

    Hope you see him again.
